Nikon Tele-Touch deluxe (aka TW2D) in Excellent Condition w/ Strap & Original Manual
The Tele-Touch deluxe (aka TW2/TW2D; "D" stands for Date Back, which this particular camera has) was Nikon's second-generation premium bi-focal Point & Shoot compact 35mm AF (auto focus) camera. It debuted a year after the original Tele-Touch (L35TWAF/L35TWAD). Nikon made major efforts to decrease the size and noise of the camera over its predecessor. Featuring 35mm f/3.5 and 70mm f/6.8 wide and telephoto settings, the deluxe was at the top of Nikon's compact AF lineup in 1987. The 4-element/3-group 35mm lens and 4-element/3-group teleconverter that provided the 70mm setting were best-in-class optics. It had 20-zone (or step) focusing, a soft filter that could be engaged for that cheesy-'70s portrait look ;-), AUTO/OFF/ON flash settings, single- or double-frame self-timer modes, and a continuous drive setting. The date-back was programmed from 1983 to 2019 (of limited utility today ;-)). There are indicator lights for AF and flash-ready at the edge of the viewfinder. A CR-P2 (DL223) lithium battery powers the camera, and a brand-new one is included, packaged separately. This copy has been film-tested and is in full working order and is in excellent overall condition. It comes with its original strap and owner's manual. Weight is 350 grams (12.3 oz) with battery.
