Minolta MD VFC Rokkor 24mm f/2.8 Lens in Excellent Condition
The rare 24mm VFC Rokkor is one of three specialty lenses developed by Minolta in the mid-'70s, the others being the 35mm f/2.8 Shift Rokkor (which also featured VFC), and the 85mm f/2.8 VariSoft. VFC stands for Variable Field Curvature. This feature allows the user to literally bend the field of focus at the edge of the field of view either toward or away from the user. In its neutral position, the VFC ring allows the lens to act the same as the standard 24mm f/2.8 lens (incidentally, one of the best 24mm lenses available), albeit with the benefit that the filter ring does not rotate as it does on the standard lens when focusing. This example is in excellent optical, mechanical, and cosmetic condition, with only minor finish wear on the edges of the VFC ring, barrel, and aperture ring. Aperture is clean and snappy, and focusing smooth. Weight is 340 grams. 55mm filter size. Comes with front and rear caps. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
