Pentax ME Super w/ SMC-M 50mm f/2 Lens in Excellent Condition
Introduced in 1980, the ME Super was one of the smallest, lightest SLRs on the market. You would never know it though, when looking through the bright viewfinder, with its 0.95x magnification and 92% coverage. It makes any Pentax DSLR finder look puny in comparison. The Super was the successor to the ME, released in 1976. Improvements included: 1) Full manual mode to go along with aperture-priority auto-exposure, giving the photographer more control when desired. 2) A higher top speed of 1/2000 sec. with its Seiko MFC-E2 shutter. 3) A warning light in the viewfinder when exposure compensation in engaged. These changes made the ME Super a much more versatile, powerful photographic tool. It also features a mechanical back-up shutter speed of 1/125 sec. if the batteries fail. The ME Super is rated for use between -20 and +50 Celsius. For cold-weather use we recommend the Energizer 2L76 Lithium battery instead of the 2 standard SR44/S76/357 silver-oxide batteries that come with the camera. Specifications: 4 - 1/2000 sec. + Bulb shutter; EV 1 - 19 meter with +/-2 EV compensation; ISO 12 - 1600; Combined weight: 695 grams. This particular camera and lens are in wonderful mechanical, cosmetic, and optical condition, with new light seals in the body and they have been film-tested. The lens takes 49mm filters.
