Pentax Super Takumar M42 Screwmount 35mm f/3.5 Lens in Excellent Condition
This is a third and final generation Super Takumar 35mm f/3.5 lens built from 1966 to 1971. But its roots go back to 1959 with the Auto Takumar version. The optical design was so good from the start that Pentax never changed it right up to the end of production of the K-mount version in 1977. They only improved the coatings with SMC and shortened the minimum focusing distance in the K-version. This example has typical Takumar build quality with a silky-smooth focusing ring and crisp aperture ring and stop down lever. Aperture blades are clean and snappy. The optics are in very good condition with only a couple of very small coating marks on the periphery of the rear element. Cosmetic condition is excellent. This is a wonderfully compact lens, weighing only 152 grams and taking 49mm filters. Truly a Takumar classic! Feel free to contact us with any questions.
