Minolta MC W. Rokkor 28mm f.2.8 Lens in Very Good Condition
The MC-Rokkor 28mm f/2.8 was introduced in 1975 with the 28mm f/2 as a two-pronged replacement of the 28mm f/2.5. With its half-stop slower maximum aperture comes a 30 percent weight and weight savings and a 20 cm closer focusing distance than the f/2.5. It is still a superbly built lens with an aluminum-on-brass focusing mechanism and all-metal and glass construction. It is virtually the same size and weight as the MC Rokkor 50mm f/1.7. This particular example is in near-mint cosmetic and mechanical condition. Focusing ring is very smooth, aperture ring smooth and positive, aperture itself is clean and snappy. Optically, there is a slight haze on about 40 percent of the front element. It had no apparent affect on the test roll shot with it, but obviously, shooting into the sun will likely impact image quality. Using a lens hood is always a good idea, anyways. Because of the haze, this lens is discounted. Weight is 240 grams. 55mm filter size. The lens comes with front and rear caps. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
