Kodak S1100 XL in Excellent Condition
If you're looking for a sleeper point & shoot, search no more. Under its admittedly bland plastic skin beats the heart of one of the best 35mm f/2.8 cameras of the '80s. This was Kodak's last kick at the premium compact 35mm market and they contracted with Chinon, the first company to offer multi-point autofocus in a compact, to build it for them. The Chinon Auto 3001 Multifocus donated most of its internals to the S1100 XL (16-zone 3-point autofocus system, lens, shutter, film transport, etc.). Kodak oversaw the design and made a few improvements such as: dropping the close focusing distance from 0.6m (24 inches) to 0.5m (20 inches), extending the lowest ISO setting to 25 from 50, and integrating the flash with the lens cover/on-off switch (which swings the flash further away from the lens to lessen red-eye). You can force the flash on or off, select center AF point only, and there's a self-timer too. There is also a top-mounted LCD display to show which settings have been selected and the frame count and battery status. Everything functions properly and the battery compartment is clean with no corrosion. The S1100 XL uses a DL223A lithium battery. Weight is 340 grams with the battery.
