Nikon Tele Touch (L35AF TW) in Excellent Condition
Meet the quirky Tele Touch, with its dual focal lengths of 38 & 65mm. This is a classic 1980s AF (auto focus) Point & Shoot...it's black, plasticky, and noisy, which means...IT'S FUN! And it takes great pictures to boot. Nikon pulled out all the stops with the AF system on this camera. It is stepless, meaning that the camera will focus to the exact point that it measures with its near-infrared beam, instead of just the closest of 8 steps (or zones) as the standard Nikon L35AF camera did. That means more pictures in proper focus than virtually any other AF Point & Shoot of the '80s. The lens(es) are none too shabby either, with a 4-element f/3.5 main lens and a 4-element 1.7x teleconverter to achieve the 65mm focal length. The camera focuses down to 0.4m (16") at the wide (38mm) setting, which is also excellent for an AF camera of this type and vintage. There is a nice large LCD display on the top that shows the frame count, film speed setting, flash distance coverage, and battery life. This particular camera is in excellent mechanical condition and cosmetically it's very good with a few scratches on the bottom plate and a name engraved on the bottom of the film door. The LCD is reasonably clear with no bleed. A new CR2025 battery has been installed for LCD memory backup. Two AAs are required to power the camera. You can use lithium AAs to reduce flash recharge time, and they also work great for use in colder weather. This camera has been film-tested and everything is functioning normally. Weight is 375 grams (13 oz) with the included strap. Batteries not included.A PDF manual is available at butkus.org. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
