High quality 7-element/5-group 2x teleconverter that has a built-in helicoid to facilitate up to 1:1 magnification with a standard 50mm lens. It was designed for teleconverter use with focal lengths from 28mm to 400 mm. While it doesn't equal the outright sharpness of a dedicated 100mm macro lens, for the occasional close-up photographer it makes for a very compact and inexpensive accessory that gives very credible performance. This copy is for Minolta SR/MD mount SLRs and is in excellent optical, mechanical and optical condition. Helicoid is smooth and well-damped. Comes with caps and case. Weight is 280 grams (10 oz).
