We use high-quality kits from hugostudio.com Custom Camera Covers in the United States for all of our replacements. They offer a variety of colours, textures, and both composite leather (vinyl) and cowhide. Feel free to explore their site to choose a covering to your liking. If your camera model does not appear in the above list, please contact us and we may be able to find an alternative supplier for that model.
We are also pleased to offer add-on light seal replacement for $20.00 including labour with any purchase of replacement covering if you so desire. Simply add Light Seal Replacement Add-on to your cart from the Services section of our store. Our standalone rate for light seal replacement is $40.00 for parts & labour + shipping.
Once you have made a choice all you need to do is add the package for your camera from the Services section of our store to your cart and add a note in the box on the checkout page with your colour/texture selection and model variation if applicable, pack up your camera, preferably with a body cap or small lens if it's an SLR, and ship it to us using the physical address on our Contact page. We STRONGLY RECOMMEND insurance and tracking. As soon as we receive your order and tracking number we will order the kit and it will usually arrive within two to three weeks. Turnaround time is currently four to five weeks delivered back to you. We ONLY ship with tracking and insurance to mitigate risk as much as we possibly can so you can enjoy your reborn classic.
Nikon Nikkor Lens AI Conversion
Have your non-AI (pre-1977) Nikkor converted to AI (Automatic Aperture Indexing) to enable meter coupling with most AI-capable Nikon bodies from 1977 to date. Please contact us first, as there are some non-AI lenses that require different techniques for conversion and other details (such as which Nikon SLR models you will be using the lens(es) on) that need to be discussed prior to having your lens converted. You will need provide lens type and serial number prior to ordering this service. Lens owner pays shipping both ways. We only ship with insurance and tracking and we strongly recommend that our valued customers do the same to protect your investment in lenses. We will combine shipping on multiple lenses, of course. $50 CAD per lens is our standard rate for this service. We offer a 10% discount for 3 or more conversions done at the same time.
