Canon's first EF 28-80 3.5-5.6 USM (Ultrasonic Motor) lens was arguably their best. Positioned as a mid-range zoom, it inherited the same USM used in the higher-end "L" EF lenses of the time, while all subsequent iterations (there were four that followed) used a lesser-quality version of USM. It also features a metal lens mount and the best build quality of all the variable-aperture 28-80 EF lenses. This particular copy is in excellent optical, mechanical, and cosmetic condition.
